Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction. You will use the latest tools and technology while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires a professional attitude, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately troubleshoot and resolve customer vehicle concerns using current administrative and technical systems
• Maintain courteous and professional interactions with all customers
• Assist as a secondary customer greeter in the Service Drive area
• Stay current with technical publications, Service Comm, and Asist terminal operations
• Deliver safe and reliable vehicle service on the first attempt
• Address all original customer concerns before suggesting additional sales
• Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs according to factory and local recommendations
• Return vehicles in a clean or cleaner condition than upon arrival
• Participate in factory and in-house training programs
• Complete all required paperwork and attach necessary shop forms to repair orders accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned by Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader
• Arrive on time, ready to work, and maintain a clean uniform

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude with high energy and motivation
• Superior customer service abilities
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions accurately
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ASE certification demonstrating technical aptitude is required
• Technical or trade school degree preferred
